10 Commandments for Creatives WHO WANT TO FAIL in the NEW Creative Economy š
1. You worry about not having any tech skills š”
I get it. You barely know how to work your iPhone, how can you learn A.I? Creative, Iām gonna tell you a secret. Most A.I. tools are as simple as knowing how to read and writeā¦and barely that! Otter A.I. can even take spelling error-free notes for you. Now the assistant can have an assistant!
And donāt get me started about Midjourney! Itās the most powerful original image generator out there. And my formula to success is as simple as typing in: My Vision + Preferred Lens + Shot + Inspiration = Stunning images like:

Hausa Women at Six Flags! Seatbelts wouldāve been a nice touch.
2. You LOVE racking up debt šø
Hold up Spielberg! You donāt have an unlimited credit card yet. According to Film Independent, the average web series can cost between $1,000 - $10,000 on the low end! For a studio project, costs are estimated at $1,000 per minute.
And given todayās economy, investors are more reluctant to produce your Alien Cowboy Sci-Fi. But what if, for a FRACTION of the cost of production, you could approach investors with a stunning pitch deck, cinematic sizzle and a thought-out 20 season arc, all created with the help of A.I?
Youād look a lot more attractive and still have money to treat yourself to a $5 coffeeā¦ugh, millennials and their extravagance. š
3. You donāt consider yourself a business š§³
Hey there, my freelance Picasso. If you donāt consider yourself a business you SHOULD. For tax purposes, brand power, legal protection and growth potential. But according to the SBA, about 20% of all business fail in the first year and 50% fizzle out before five! Yikes. š¬
Hold up, here's where A.I. comes in like a financial fairy godmother! š§āāļø With A.I. tools at your side, you can slay the business game like a boss. It'll handle the nitty-gritty, like note taking and keep your financial mojo on point. šŖ
4. You think A.I. CAN replace human creativity š¤
Yes, I recognize that this one might be shocking. I just spent this entire newsletter lauding the use of A.I. for creative professionals. But hear me out. A.I. is a tool that can help AMPLIFY your natural talent and hard earned skills.
However, it cannot replace you. Every A.I. creation starts with the spark of an ideaā¦and thatās your job! Imagination is sold separately.
5. You donāt care about market trends, so skip this one!!!! š¢
A.I. is currently valued at nearly $100 billion U.S. and is expected to grow twentyfold by 2030. Yeah, I get why some creatives hate A.I. But in 2023, donāt we also complain about social media, smart phones and Elon Musk?
Yet, theyāre all still shaping our collective culture, economy and more. You can bury your head in the sand butā¦time keeps on slippin, slippin, slippin, into the future and the catās out of the bag. A.I. is here to stay.
6. You donāt think someone would pay for A.I. art š¤
I get it. You have a healthy dose of skepticism. Let me count the ways you can make money with A.I., starting TODAY!
Create unique Etsy Items
Create professional pitch decks and sell them on Fiverr
Think like an investor
Prepare for one of these jobsā¦Studios Quietly Go on Hiring Spree for AI Specialist
7. You think that facts and figures are FAKE NEWS!!!! š
A Harvard ((yes, that one š§ )) study revealed that A.I. and marketing are the new power couple, boosting customer engagement by 40%! And companies that buddy up with A.I. can beef up their revenue by 10%.
A.I. can crunch large volumes of data quickly, uncovering trends and insights that humans might miss. They can also adapt designs in real-time, reducing the time spent on ideation and prototyping.
8. You donāt believe in backup plans šØ
As a creative professional, what if your worst year happens this year? Are you still profitable? If yes, pass this info up. If not, think about the power of being able to create and earn from anywhere in the world?
While we wait on economic equity, universal income, student loan forgiveness, ((um, reparations anyone? š)) itās important to stay flexible and have other avenues to generate income. To future proof your careerā¦you gotta upskill, bruh.
9. You think A.I. will take all the jobs š”
As a random person on Reddit said, āA.I. may kill us all, but itāll never write a good movie.ā
Friendā¦the sky has been falling ever since Eve bit that apple, since that cave man discovered fire and Mark Twain used a typewriter instead of writing Tom Sawyer with a scroll and quill.
If you think Iām exaggerating read this: "Computerphobia" didn't fall out of fashion until the 1990s, when a new realm of technological anxiety became the target: cyberspace.
10. You hate learning š
What's the point of learning new skills? Stick with what you know best, forever.
But the fact that you made it this far into the newsletter, lets me know that YOU know better. According to the World Economic Forum, individuals who upskill and acquire new skills have the potential to increase their income by up to 20% or more. A Skills First Approach = more economic opportunities! š
While we get our library up and running at the Creative Guild, maybe you should check out these A.I. courses on Udemy.

The video below will do a quick walkthrough on how YOU CAN USE A.I. to create a pitch deck that will outshine your competition. We use MidJourney (a powerful visual creator), ChatGPT (Google on drugs) and Canva (for those of us who couldnāt learn photoshop).
And afterwards, I sold it on Fiverr for $240!! Not bad, since this deck only took me 4 hours.
Learning A.I. today is like learning how to code 20 years ago, but with a fraction of the effort!
Studios are already itching to hire A.I. specialists. Netflix reportedly promises to pay up to $900,000-per-year to an A.I. product manager.

ICYMI: Carlee Russell, 25, sparked a nationwide search when she went missing on July 13th, after telling law enforcement that she was attempting to rescue a lone toddler on the highway.
